<p class="content"><span class="futurab">Coordination</span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Boulder huddles close to the sheer rise of the Rocky Mountains, offering both nature and urban activities for visitors arriving early or looking for things to do Saturday afternoon.  We have a few suggestions below; you can also propose your own ideas and coordinate with other guests through <a href="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AqPg4ndYpQh7dFliZi1mZC1fN0l5My1fWXlQdk8wUGc#gid=0" class="nav2">this online signup</a>.</p>
<p class="content"><span class="futurab">Pearl Street</span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; At the heart of downtown Boulder is an four block "walking only" outdoor mall centered on Pearl Street (<a href="http://www.boulderdowntown.com" class="nav2">business directory</a> &middot; <a href="http://www.boulderdowntown.com/_files/docs/tear-off-map-v1112.pdf" class="nav2">map</a>). We&#8217;re partial to the <a href="http://www.boulderbookstore.net/" class="nav2">Boulder Bookstore</a> (1107 Pearl Street), a beautiful three-floor independent bookseller, and <a href="http://www.boulderteahouse.com/" class="nav2">Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse</a> (1770 13th Street), a Tajik teahouse given to the city in the late 1980s &ndash; it&#8217;s also the location for the rehersal dinner Friday night.</p>
<p class="content"><span class="futurab">The Flatirons</span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;These <a href="http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g33324-d527058-Reviews-Flatirons-Boulder_Colorado.html" class="nav2">massive, looming rock formations</a> are probably the first thing you&#8217;ll notice when you gaze up at the Rockies from Boulder.  They can be seen from below along the trails of <a href="http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g33324-d107197-Reviews-Chautauqua-Boulder_Colorado.html" class="nav2">Chautauqua Park</a> on the southwest edge of Boulder (our recommendation) up close by hiking up through <a href="http://www.parks.state.co.us/NATURALRESOURCES/CNAP/NATURALAREASINFO/ALPHABETICALLISTING/Pages/BoulderMountainPark.aspx" class="nav2">Boulder Mountain Park</a>.</p>
<p class="content"><span class="futurab">Peak-to-Peak Highway</span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;This <a href="http://www.coloradodot.info/travel/scenic-byways/north-central/peak-to-peak" class="nav2">hour-long drive</a> through the tops of the Rockies hits a number of major sites, including <a href="http://www.estesparkcvb.com" class="nav2">Estes Park</a>, <a href="http://www.nps.gov/romo/index.htm" class="nav2">Rocky Mountain National Park</a>, and <a href="http://www.parks.state.co.us/parks/eldoradocanyon/Pages/EldoradoCanyonHome.aspx" class="nav2">Eldorado Canyon State Park</a>.  Budget at least three hours to allow for roadside stops.</p>
